DirecTV DVRs and HD-DVRs have a 30 second "slip" out of the box. "Slip" fast-forwards for 30 seconds when you press the skip button on the remote. To change the behavior to a 30 second "skip", do the following:
- Press Menu
- Select Search for Shows
- Select Keyword
- Type in 30SKIP (the "0" is a zero)
- Select Continue
- Select All
- Select Done

Press the right arrow button on your DirecTV remote control to bring up DirecTV's new TV Apps feature.* With TV Apps you can view sports scores, news headlines, stock quotes, weather, and many other things. DoublePlay
Two programs are on at the same time and you want to watch both. With DirecTV's DoublePlay, you can! While watching live TV, press the DOWN arrow. Now, switch between shows, pause and rewind either, and never miss a pass, pitch or a favorite scene.

DirecTV National Offer Rebate Procedures
- Go to DirecTV.com/Rebates and click on View Rebates.
- Set up your DIRECTV account with a valid email address and password. If you already have an online account, just sign in.
- After submitting your rebate go to your email inbox, open the new message from DirecTV and follow the instructions in it.
If you don't complete all 3 steps, then you will not receive the $26/mo for 12 months rebate. All 3 steps must be completed within the first 60 days after installation to receive the rebate.
