As President and Chief Executive Officer for PEAK Internet Rick
brings an in-depth knowledge and expertise in telecommunications and a passion
for customer service. Rick has demonstrated his leadership and technical acumen
in the industry for over 30 years.
Rick gained extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry with over 20 years experience with an independent telephone company with interests in cable TV, internet, business telephone systems and cellular licenses. He left as Vice President/Operations Manager.
Rick served on the Board and was Secretary Treasurer of Washington Oregon Wireless (WOW), a consortium of telephone and utility companies formed to construct a $60 million cellular PCS project in rural Oregon and Washington.
Rick is also President and Chief Executive Officer for Casco Communications, Inc. and the Member Manager of CoEnergy Propane LLC. Rick currently serves on the Board of Directors of Western Independent Networks (WIN), the regional mid-Willamette Board of Umpqua Bank, is President of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of the Albany Chamber of Commerce.
Rick is an Oregon native and lives on a ranch outside of Brownsville with his wife and son where they raise horses, exotic cats and trees.
For fun Rick enjoys working on the ranch with family, going in circles on a tractor, or “top down” in a fast car.
Mark Jacobson

honesty, integrity and sound judgment of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PEAK
Internet are fundamental to the reputation and success of the company.
As Chief Financial Officer, Mark oversees all the company’s financial functions including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Mark is responsible for all internal and external financial reporting. He is also responsible for preparation of the corporation’s annual budget, coordination of the annual audit and cash management.
Prior to his employment at Peak Internet, Mark worked for five years in the not-for-profit sector as a Chief Financial Officer and before that spent 4 years in Commercial Banking.
Mark has served as Director at Food for Lane County, the March of Dimes and White Bird Clinic.
Mark has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Akron and attended graduate school at Northrup University in Los Angels, California. He lives in Corvallis with his spouse and very excitable Jack Russell Terrier. Mark enjoys reading, cooking, biking and golf.
Tim Mattson

As the Director of Operations, Tim Mattson is charged with leading
all aspects of PEAK’s client services including customer service and technical
support. Tim also manages PEAK’s
human resources and provides project management support to the rest of the
executive team.
Under his leadership, PEAK has built a 24/7 Customer Service and Technical Support team that is composed of all local employees. This support platform is a cornerstone for PEAK’s local presence and key competitive advantage.
Mattson brings more than 10 years of service leadership experience to PEAK. Throughout his career, he has managed best-in-class customer support and training programs for several technology organizations. Prior to his employment at PEAK, Tim most notably worked for four years in Call Center Management at Sonic|Blue.
In his free time, Tim volunteers throughout the Willamette Valley to various non-profits and charities. Tim lives in the outskirts of Lebanon with his family and kids. He enjoys cycling, running, mixed martial arts and spending time with his family.
Craig Collar

Craig Collar, Chief Technology Officer, is tasked with the overall technology
management and delivery of internet service for PEAK Internet. As the chief engineer, Collar drives the system
and network engineering team to provide advanced internet and connectivity services
for tens of thousands of subscribers. These
duties include the
operations of the data center in Corvallis, management PEAK’s regional
broadband network, administration of email and web site hosting, and the development
of new technology services for PEAK Internet.
Collar brings to PEAK a high level of expertise, gained from over 17 years in Information Technology and Network Architecture. Prior to PEAK, Collar worked at the University of Alaska as Network Engineer and in various roles within several high-profile start-ups in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. Most recently, worked at HP in the HALO business unit, designing and building its global tele-presence network. Collar is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the IEEE Computer Society, and the Internet Society.
Collar holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and is a senior member of the IEEE Computer Society.
In his free time Craig enjoys the outdoors in various capacities ranging from hunting and fishing, to backpacking and camping.
Field Service Manager
Clinton Brandon

Clinton Brandon as a Field Service Manager, is tasked with being part of the frontline that works diligently to provide technology solutions for local area businesses. Clinton brings a high level of expertise and has been working with the Internet and networking since 1992. In his most recent job, Clinton actually owned and operated an Internet provider in Missouri, before moving to Oregon.
Clinton moved to Oregon a little over a year ago to be closer to his daughter, who attends Oregon State University studying Art. In his free time, Clinton enjoys tinkering with new technology gadgets and expanding his knowledge. Outside of technology, he enjoys getting acclimated to new home in Oregon (still adjusting to the rain), spending time building things out of wood with his son, and some occasional online computer gaming.
Clinton started his voyage in the IT field as an apprentice for an AT&T cellular in Missouri. After obtaining the knowledge necessary to further his career in the IT industry, Clinton went to work for Rockwell Satellite division installing and configuring mobile satellite communication equipment for the transportation industry. Clinton holds multiple Microsoft Certifications credentials.
Call Center Supervisor
Lana Sweat

With a conscientious and caring manner, Lana Sweat leads PEAK Internet’s frontline for support and customer contact.
As the Support Center Manager, Sweat gets the privilege of supervising PEAK’s employees that interact closely with PEAK’s fantastic customers. This includes training, service provisioning and initial support services and includes working closely with the customer service and technical support teams. Her team is an integral part of PEAK’s 24/7 support service and quality local support.
Sweat’s persevering character, passion for great communications and desire to provide excellent customer support makes her an tremendous asset to PEAK’s quality initiatives for service.
The majority of Sweat’s career history has been spent in customer service in businesses ranging from travel to technology firms. From these experiences she learned the value of strong leadership and management within a business, qualities she is proud to contribute to at PEAK Internet today.
Lana is proud to work for a local business that believes in giving back to its community and works hard to maintain PEAK’s quality community brand.
Away from the office, Sweat is busy caring for her family, consisting of her husband and two sons. She supports her sons through a variety of sports and other activities that give her the outlet for the “inner cheerleader.”
Tech Support Supervisor
Gary Held

With a pragmatic and knowledgeable approach, Gary Held leads the technical support team that provides Internet and email solutions for thousands of customers throughout Oregon.
As the Technical Support Manager, Held is charged with the leadership of one of PEAK’s most crucial elements, quality technical support. Held’s role includes ensuring sufficient training for PEAK’s technical support agents, troubleshooting and operation of customer systems (email, modems, PC related issues) and the provisioning of services. Through Held’s management, PEAK has seen the growth of support services and the increase in service quality.
Held is a homegrown employee, hailing from Corvallis and a veteran of PEAK Internet since 2004. Gary started at PEAK Internet as a Customer Service and Dispatch agent, eventually working his way up through Technical Support and into a supervisory role. Through this time, Held has continually shown himself to be an exemplary employee and expert in technology.
Held holds a BS from the University of Oregon and was married in 2007. His hobbies include everything technology, dating back to his original Apple 2E, and tinkering with everything since. He currently resides in Albany with his wife.
