Phone Cord Length and Bundles

The phone cord to your modem is always best kept as short as possible. Long cords are more prone to receiving interference. In the same regard, long lengths of phone cord, bundled up, can also cause a lot of “noise” from the closely coiled copper wire which can degrade your Internet signal.

And finally, if possible keep your phone cord away from your power supply, as (again) the electrical interference can potentially transfer to the copper in the phone line.
