David Placko

As Director of Engineering, David drives the engineering department and the delivery of all internet services for PEAK Internet. This includes management of the data center in Corvallis, the operation of PEAK’s expansive fixed wireless network and the overall technology that brings connectivity to tens of thousands of broadband subscribers.

Placko brings to PEAK broad experience gained from over 27 years in Information Technology and enterprise software development.  Prior to PEAK, Placko served as the Information Technology Director for a large government contractor that developed custom, web-based procurement solutions for the Federal Government.  He also held various Senior Systems Architect roles at software start-ups, and System Administration roles at a large nationwide retailer. Although Placko has worked in a variety of roles, he excels in service delivery because of his ability to understand and develop strong customer relationships.

During his tenure at PEAK, he has planned and overseen large-scale upgrades that have resulted in an industry-leading platform for internet services.  He has also increased PEAK’s network interconnectivity, adding points of presence (POP’s) throughout the region, giving PEAK a nationwide reach to customers.

In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his three children.
